Chiropractic care for Mount Martha locals: common reasons people book
We see people across every age and stage of life. A few of the things that often bring them in:
- Upper back pain and that tight band between the shoulder blades.
- Posture concerns, where we use posture pictures to show you what's happening.
- Hip pain that's affecting walking, sleep or sport.
- Back and pelvic discomfort in pregnancy. We do see pregnant practice members.
Every person is different. Your first visit is about working out whether we can help, not assuming we can.
What happens at your first appointment
We start with a new patient appointment of 30–40 minutes. That includes your story, posture pictures, and a thorough chiropractic, orthopaedic and neurological check of your spine, joints and nerves.
Whether you're adjusted on day one is up to the clinical judgement of your chiropractor. Sometimes we want more information first, occasionally X-rays. We only request X-rays when your history and check point to them, and the imaging clinic we refer to bulk bills them.
Next comes the report of findings appointment ($95), where we explain what we found in plain English and what we'd do about it. Care may include hands-on adjustments, our flexion-distraction table for low back and disc problems, and home exercises.
Web special: the new patient appointment is $125 when you book online through this website (usually $195, and $195 by phone). New practice members only, one per person.
Fees, health funds and Medicare
Here's how paying and claiming works. More detail is on our fees and health funds page.

- DVA Gold Card and White Card holders (for accepted conditions) with a GP referral: we bill DVA directly.
- WorkSafe and TAC claims: you pay us on the day and claim it back from your scheme.
