Chiropractic for Baxter residents: what we see
These are a few of the problems people commonly bring to us:
- Disc bulges in the low back or neck.
- Shoulder pain, often tangled up with neck and upper back tension.
- Sciatica that travels into the buttock or leg.
For disc-related low back problems we often use a flexion-distraction table, a gentle, rhythmic, table-assisted technique. Alongside hands-on adjustments and home exercises, it's one of the tools we may use, depending on what your check shows.
What to expect first
Every new practice member starts with a new patient appointment. It takes 30–40 minutes and includes your story, posture pictures, and a thorough chiropractic, orthopaedic and neurological check.
Being adjusted on the first visit is up to the clinical judgement of your chiropractor. Sometimes more testing comes first, and occasionally X-rays when your history and check point to them. X-rays we refer for are bulk billed.
At the report of findings appointment ($95), we sit down and explain what we found in plain English and what we'd suggest doing.
Cost: $125 for the new patient appointment when booked online through this website, saving $70 on the usual $195. New practice members only, one per person. Want the full breakdown? See how much a chiropractor costs on the Mornington Peninsula.
